As a co-founder and owner of Progressive Spine & Sports Medicine, Dr. McElroy is focused on rehabilitating patients from physical injury without surgery.
Dr. McElroy is a board-certified physician in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and he currently holds two posts as Attending Physician at The Valley Hospital in the Department of Orthopedics, and JFK Medical Center in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. He has a highly patient-centered focus, and specializes in improving the lives of people living with joint pain, in addition to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation management of people with disabling medical conditions.
Dr. McElroy’s has several peer-reviewed publications on the subject of pain management, the most recent of which was on the subject of joint replacements in “Current Diagnosis & Treatment: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation” (Nov 2014). Additionally, he was instrumental in developing the interventional pain medicine fellowship at JFK Medical Center, which aims to provide comprehensive pain medicine training to selected candidates, including training in acute pain, chronic pain, and palliative care.
